Drum Roll please...

OK so for those of you that were in on the Eastlake DIY project part one on June 6th, and have waited patiently, we are finally finished! I didn't want to reveal the final project until after the 60th anniversary party for my in laws' because we were making this for their celebration and wanted it to be a surprise.
My husband, Mark and I worked on this together since June 6th when we (...I ;) came up with this brilliant idea:). As I mentioned, (OK complained about) this bed has been from here to eternity and back again in storage!
I was done, done, done with moving it from one corner of the garage to another and trying to maneuver around it! OK so just a wee bit of rant:) Any who, I designed this in my head (its amazing the ideas I have rattling around in there!) and my husband and I brought it to fruition and here "she" is with a new coat of fresh paint.
I say "she" because when all was said and done, this sweet little bench looked like a "she" in her pretty new paint colors. Here she is sitting front and center with her dainty little companion cocktail table is all dolled up with new paint too:) That little cutie cost me a $1.00 at a garage sale and was a mess, but now look at it! All it took was a lot of sanding, a fresh coat of paint and a new knob and it looks better than new!

Enjoy...

Eastlake bench with my $1.00 garage sale desk, that I sanded and re-painted with my little watering can drawer pull that actually cost more than the desk! I had the cushion custom made from an online site.

Floral pillows; Pottery Barn. Vintage Sunbonnet Sue pillows from my collection.

Detail of the head board that Mark duplicated for the legs of the bench

The finished detail on the leg...how cute is this?!

above is what this poor little bed looked like prior to her re-purposed life!

and here she is, the prettiest little bench in the neighborhood, well perhaps the world...just sayin'

in all her glory...

the star of the show...

thank you Mr.La Bella Vie for all your help...again!
