I don't have anything in particular in mind to post, well no theme really, just a lot of "pink pics and links" that I've done along the way since starting my blog a little over a year ago.
Also I really love what Beverly says about the color pink;
"Pink is a great color, it represents hope, joy and love".
For me,pink reminds my of my bedroom as a little girl, it was painted "Sunset Pink" and represented a cheerful loving place to grow up in. So enjoy my first "Pink Saturday linky party", it was so much fun perusing all my pink links again!
First though one of my favorites photos of my mother in a blush pink gown taken in about 1948-49. I am posting this one today because 29 years ago today, she had to leave this earth yet there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her...
Above is my grandmother's Sterling silver "South Seas" by Community wrapped in pink linen napkins that I did for THIS post.
OK so I hope you had fun for my first Pink Saturday, I know I'm feeling "in the pink" for having played along! I plan on coming back and next time I'll even dress for the party in my favorite pink outfit...or jammies to participate!
Thank you Beverly for this fun, cheerful party!
As usual, beautiful photographs. What a great eye you have. Thanks for sharing, and for leaving a comment on my blog.

I love your Heisey. My mother's crystal is Heisey's Orchid Etched. It is gorgeous, but so incredibly fragile.
What a sweet pink post! I love that first picture! Your mother was beautiful and so sweet looking. I also love your grandmother's silver wrapped in the pink napkins. Beautiful- xo Diana
ReplyDeletelove that vintage picture of you lovely mother!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of your mum...I have one of my mum around the same time and all I can think when I see the women from this vintage is how stunningly naturally beautiful they are, and what I wouldnt give to have their pretty gowns now.

Greetings, Terry!
ReplyDeleteI adore the photo of your mom as a young woman. I love, too, the idea of the napkins tied up in lace and the treasured wedding photo attached!!! I just may have to borrow your sweet idea for a birthday garden tea I'm having for my mom. One Christmas, I used tiny youthful photos of the recipients of my holiday gifts as gift tags! It looked so lovely under the tree and everyone had no trouble identifying which gifts were theirs. Thinking beautiful nostalgic thoughts today thanks to you and your post!
Wishing you a beautiful day in return,
Linda in Canada
