ReplyDeleteOh my friend, these are wonderful!!! They just make me smile!! I just can't imagine how cool the quilt would have been with those girls!!! They look great with your own pillows and quilts. Great finds Terry!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, my mom is back at the nursing home and doing better but still not back to her normal self. Hopefully the routine of the home will help her.
OK Terry where have you been hiding these? I have a apron to match, NO you can't have it on second thought I'll trade it for one of those wonderful pillows.

ReplyDeleteHello La Bella gal. Thanks for stopping by. I will have a cuppa. Yes we seem to like similar things. Except I am older than dirt but still young at heart and love the blogging world. I have used individual quilt pieces for place mats, gourds and a lot of things. Love that pattern. I will become a follower but my avatar will not show up due to something to do with Google but will follow. Thanks for the invite.

ReplyDeleteI am in love with those sunbonnet pillows! My best friend's great grandmother quilted that pattern for her. If she still has it, I may try to encourage her to give it to me!!! She has two boys... she doesn't need it. Right? I have several old old old quilts that my grandmother and great grandmother quilted. My parents just gave them all to me. I actually threw some away that were so ragged and worn. I hated to do it, but some of them were beyond repair and some were not even completely quilted. I think it would be fabulous to make pillows out of the ones I have! Thanks for the inspiration! Hope you are having a great week!
ReplyDeleteThose are all just lovely! :)

What a beautiful way to repurpose an old quilt! Such wonderful pillows! I especially love all the Sunbonnet Sues, but the red and white ones are striking as well.
ReplyDeleteI love blog hopping, as I just found you! And we're PNW neighbors! I'm just up north a spell.
ReplyDeleteI love vintage, and just love those pillows!
Have a great weekend!

You have an amazing blog!!! I found you via your comment on Hope Filled Living!! I will visit again and have become a follower. Stop by for a visit if you are up to it www.attitudeIVlife.blogspot.com - HHL
ReplyDeleteI love you blog! And hi from another Oregonian:)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you visited my blog and we found each other. Adore your repurposing of vintage linens as it is one of my passions too. Got a kick out of the squirrel pics, funny how they still figure out how to get the bird seed on one of those "critter proof feeders" LOL. But it is so fun to watch their antics.
So very pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI love those pillows,

Love vintage textiles, are you a quilter also Terry? Yup I want to see what you are up to!
ReplyDeleteOh my, The sunbonnet pillows are so adorable and I love the red stars!
ReplyDeleteAll of the pieces you're showing are great, but those Sunbonnet Sue pillows steal the show.
ReplyDeleteTears in my eyes here. My mother loved quilting and one of the last projects she did were Sunbonnet Sue pillows for each of her nieces and me too. I have a small unfinished quilt of hers with them also which I should get out and finish.
ReplyDeleteI too am a new blogger (3 posts). Don't know if I'm a late bloomer or just a flower that lies dormant for periods of time but this is my first time at blogging publicly and I'm liking it.
Stop by 'at Muldoon' anytime.
