A few months back I went to a fantastic "garage sale" with my MIL. I use the term "garage sale" lightly because this was anything but a typical garage sale, this was decades worth of collections. There was everything from furniture to dishes and party-ware and even a 1950's fully restored Jukebox.
Needless to say, I walked away with nearly half of what the they had in that garage and I won't EVEN tell you what I spent but let's just say, to date it was by far my most expensive "garage sale" ever!
Below are just a few pieces I picked up, a great collection of Roseville pottery which I didn't even know I liked until I saw these beautiful colors. I called my friend that owns Timeless Antiques in Aurora, Oregon and asked her to help identify the pieces and what they might be worth.
So here they are...
#3014 Iris 1938 9 1/2" Basket $300.00...I did not pay anywhere near that!
Above, #3079 Snow berry Bookends pair $175 for Mint condition each but I didn't plunk down anything near that!
#3026 Console Bowl Bush berry $295.00...nope didn't pay that either!
#3034 Magnolia 1940's 8" Basket Shape No. 384 $275.00...
nah, didn't pay that either :0)
Below, #3076 Zephyr Lily 1946 Candlesticks pair $225.00...you guessed it, didn't come anywhere close to paying that price...nope uh-uh, not me...
and last...just for fun...here's that amazing fully restored Jukebox! The guy that was having the sale popped in an old 45 record and it played beautifully!
Don't cha wish you were at this sale too, you could have owned this for $5,000.00...it might still be for sale 'cause I sure didn't buy it although this baby is a beaut!

Your new collection is stunning. Such beautiful pieces. I don't think I've seen these before, but they are gorgeous. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteOh my!!! Those pieces are gorgeous! They have such unique shapes and colors. I love them!!! Did the juke box come home with you too??? :-)
ReplyDeleteWow you scored big time! These are beautiful. It seems that when I actually go to a garage sale it is nothing but junk. That juke box would look right at home in our family cave.
ReplyDeleteHi, friend! I'm admiring all your creative posts here. Can you please share them at the Creative Bloggers' Party & Hop? Hope to see you there at the party :)
