"The Destroyers" episode #3

Well last weeks episode #2 we had the hole in the ceiling which quickly turned from this...

simple little hole...
to this big fat mess...

and I fear it can only get worse...

Oh heaven help me...it can definitely get worse...

yep it's a lot worse and I know it will only get harder as more of my kitchen gets ripped out...
as the saying goes; be careful what you wish for...
Oh dear oh me oh my...this is NOT what I envisioned!!!

  1. Oh dear, I'd be a tad bit nervous too! Why not take a trip and when you return it'll all be done! If not, just take a deep breath and keep the end in sight, know it'll be just gorgeous!

  2. I remember when we gutted our kitchen a couple of years ago. What started out as replacing countertops ended up taking us all the way down to the studs! Not quite what we were expecting, but do we ever love the results from going ahead with a complete overhaul! After 6 weeks of washing dishes in the bathroom, we had a totally new kitchen. So, hang in there! It will all get done and this part will just fade to a bad memory.....

    1. Yes I think I'm pretty lucky too and he is pretty good about cleaning up after making such a mess...I get the real dirty stuff though, like washing down everything before we can cook again!

  5. My husband completely redid our last kitchen. It was six months of nights and weekends tearing everything out, building cabinets, laying granite, etc. It was a HUGE job and a HUGE mess, but such a beautiful kitchen when he was done. I'm sure yours will be the same!

    Hang in there!

  9. This is only the beginning of something beautiful, just envision a completed kitchen. Mark is tidy, but also won't cut corners,it will be all worth it.

Can you imagine what Aaron and Claudia are going to be dealing with? A whole house reno and adding a second story!

    Hang in there!

    1. Hi there NV Bonus mom...Yes I agree! Are you home tomorrow afternoon? My PC died a couple days ago and I'm having to use Mark's PC...sharing is difficult between a husband and a wife when it comes to our laptops!!!

  10. Actually, I'm not sure exactly when I'm leaving but tomorrow night is Damn Yankees at the theatre in Reno. So that won't work, I'm hoping to get to a couple of places up there and then we do dinner before the show. (not daddy and I)

  11. Sure! I'm expecting Shelby any minute now, she is supposed to be at her dad's but they are butting heads and Sheri is going to the boy friends. It'll be good we haven't seen her is a while.
