This has always been one of my favorite rooms in my home and these are but a few of my favorite things that live in there. My vintage sewing machine and sewing memorabilia collection. This is for no other reason than to just see...and enjoy...that's what I do when I go in this sweet little room:)
My Mother in law, Betty gave me this beautiful old black and white photo of her own mother, Erma sitting at a treadle sewing machine she won at the Minnesota state fair in September 1923. That's her on the left in this photo. My MIL shared with me that she and her three sisters all learned to sew on this machine as young girls. What sweet memories this old photo holds of a time so long ago.
I am now honored to have this photo in my sewing room sitting on my own treadle machine...
The above picture was given to me as a "house warming" gift when the sewing room was completely done by my friend Joan!
