Thought for the day...

Always remember what's most important in life. It will not be the "stuff" you accumulate, it will not be how many Face book friend requests' you receive, it will not be how many followers you eventually have on your blog.
All those superficial things fade away and what you once "perceived" as friends will have fallen by the wayside...

Truly the most important things in life are not "things" at all.
Its is our health and the love of family that matter the most.
Without that you have nothing...

The above picture is something I made a few months ago to put on my "vision board", not as a way to "see myself" but as a way to "remind me" each day what is important and to never lose sight of that...
I am posting a link HERE to one of my favorite POEMS that I have on my vision board as well. It is a wonderful reminder to all of us and I hope you enjoy the message as much as I have through the years.

A Rosie Garage sale!!

A few months back I went to a fantastic "garage sale" with my MIL. I use the term "garage sale" lightly because this was anything but a typical garage sale, this was decades worth of collections. There was everything from furniture to dishes and party-ware and even a 1950's fully restored Jukebox.
Needless to say, I walked away with nearly half of what the they had in that garage and I won't EVEN tell you what I spent but let's just say, to date it was by far my most expensive "garage sale" ever!
Below are just a few pieces I picked up, a great collection of Roseville pottery which I didn't even know I liked until I saw these beautiful colors. I called my friend that owns Timeless Antiques in Aurora, Oregon and asked her to help identify the pieces and what they might be worth.
So here they are...

#3014 Iris 1938 9 1/2" Basket $300.00...I did not pay anywhere near that!

Above,  #3079 Snow berry Bookends pair $175 for Mint condition each but I didn't plunk down anything near that!

#3026 Console Bowl Bush berry $295.00...nope didn't pay that either!

#3034 Magnolia 1940's  8" Basket Shape No. 384 $275.00...
nah, didn't pay that either :0)

Below, #3076 Zephyr Lily 1946 Candlesticks pair $225.00...you guessed it, didn't come anywhere close to paying that price...nope uh-uh, not me...

and last...just for fun...here's that amazing fully restored Jukebox! The guy that was having the sale popped in an old 45 record and it played beautifully!
Don't cha wish you were at this sale too, you could have owned this for $5,000.00...it might still be for sale 'cause I sure didn't buy it although this baby is a beaut!

Oh for the love of Aprons!

Well I'm on to another post about aprons. My MIL asked me if I was going to post anything else about the Apron auction we did a couple of Saturday's ago and I told her I didn't think so because my pictures turned out sort of icky. But then I received an email from her sister (Marie) wanting to do the same type of auction and fund raiser so...I thought I'd dig out a couple pictures to post.
While I was perusing, I came across a link called
Apron Memories its the most adorable Apron website.

Toile and The Cozy Inn...

Ok, so typically I don't show my "unmentionables" on public websites but these are so worth "mentioning" plus they are not on me and they're just so stinkin cute, so I think we're OK:)
I love cozying into my jammies every night especially if they're my red and white cotton Toile jammies (from Sue at Christmas)...so I was prattling on about that very thing to my friend Lori yesterday (yes, we talk about anything:) and she asked me to post pictures of them (after all what girl doesn't love her favorite pair of jammies and Toile) so here they are...
